So I took a giant leap of faith and decided to join the NaNo WriMo crazy train. I figured it couldn’t hurt since my first novel is out for review with a publisher. Heck, why not make sure the second one is also ready….just in case.
After narrowly escaping the clutches of the Dark Lords witch Agnes, Shenna and Rourke find themselves lost in a cave . Separated when they ported, Shenna and Rourke blindly search for each other and a way out.
Confused in his madness, the Dark Lord believes he has finally found his estranged wife in the cavernous tunnels of his underworld.
Agnes’s plans are coming together nicely. She’s captured Rourke and the little elemental fae girl will be next. The plan? Infuse large amounts of dark magic in Rourke and turn him loose. He will find the girl and return her so that Agnes may proceed with her life’s work.
Ryan, the Prince of the Isle of Ilumine and Shenna’s husband, along with her brothers Ewan and Sean search desperately for Shenna. Without a clue to go on they will need the insightful help of the witch Rowana and Rourke’s friend John.
Rowana and John know that Rourke had no hand in kidnapping Shenna, but how do they prove it if they can’t find him?
Together with Ryan , Ewan and Sean a quest will be taken to find the missing Shenna and Rourke. Will they be too late to stop what evil has started?
Magic and mystery come together in this sequel to Fates Awakening. Friendships will be gained, lives will be lost and a whole lot of magic will be wielded.
Shenna pulled her head up slightly, wincing from the small movement. Her skull throbbed in a rhythm harmoniously with her pulse. The steady drip of water echoed continuously, as if marking the time. Drip, drip, drip, seconds being counted out in the dark nothingness. She couldn’t move. Her body refused to budge from the hard surface it now lay on. What happened? Where was she and how did she get here? The questions rolled round and round in her thoughts with no answer. Had the Dark Lord found her? Where was Rourke? The last thing she remembered was his arms closing around her. She could still hear Ryan as he shouted for her. The blackness had taken her before she could answer him. She knew she needed to get up, to get out of here. No good could come of this. Slowly she put her hands underneath her, trying with all her strength to push herself off the stone floor. Nausea rolled through her, as sweat broke out over her body from the exertion. She couldn’t give up. Not now. Little by little she lifted her body up. Each movement had her holding back the bile churning in her gut. With a grunt, she locked her arms to hold her upper body off the ground. With small movements, she got her legs tucked up under her so that she was kneeling. Bursts of white light danced across her vision. No, not now she thought as she wavered. Tears formed in her eyes as she fought to keep control of her body. Raw determination spread through her as she panted with labored breaths. She was not going out like this. She just needed to rest a little and try again in a few minutes. She was halfway to being on her feet and was not going to give up what little ground she’d gained.
I’ll try to keep you updated on my progress as I attempt this huge challenge. I mean it’s only 50k words right…lol
Hope you’re all having or have had an awesome Thursday!
